PRACTICE

How great would the world be if everyone was a martial artist?

Tae Kwon Do is much more than a series of kicks, blocks, and punches. It is a carefully constructed system of mental, physical, and spiritual training that promotes excellent health, intellectual achievement, and enlightened morality. According to General Choi Hong Hi, the founder of modern Tae Kwon Do, “Moral society is characterized by self-discipline, sacrifice, mutual help and devotion. Dedication to the art can promote change toward a moral society.”

Students of Tae Kwon Do are taught time-honored self-defense tactics and that violence is not a reasonable solution to most problems. At all the J.K. Lee Tae Kwon Do Academies, students learn behaviors that will prevent conflict and reinforce positive, peaceful actions supported by the concepts of kindness, respect, and self-control.

People become involved in Tae Kwon Do at different times in their lives and for different reasons. Whatever your interest or commitment level, and regardless of age, gender, or ability, you will benefit from Tae Kwon Do practice by developing a healthier body and a more disciplined mind.

Welcome to the family!

Sincerely,

Grand Master Jae Kyu Lee

9th Degree Black Belt, Academy Founder
